Olympia-Heft Nr. 16 - Reiten starts with the history of the equestrian sport, and chapters that explain the meaning and value of the sport, and equestrian Olympic events including polo. Like the cover image, most of the pictures show Reiter that are members of the Wehrmacht. Complete and in very nice little-used condition.
Olympia-Heft Nr. 17 - Turnen has an explanation of miscellaneous gymnastics equipment including the “German invention”, the parallel bars. All are explained and pictured, and there is a list of gymnastics records are well. Complete and in nice used condition.
Printed by H. A. Braun & Co., Berlin-Tempelhof 1936 and sold for 10 Reichspennig during the Third Reich.

The 4-½ x 6 inch Olympia-Heft was produced in cooperation with the Reichssportführer (Hans von Tschammer und Osten) and published by the Propaganda-Ausschuß für die Olympischen Spiele Berlin 1936 Amt für Sportwerbung. There were 26 of these sport publications covering skiing, soccer, shooting, fencing, hockey, boxing, swimming, gymnastics, sailing, etc. produced to "teach every German about what they should know about Olympic Sports".
