Most collectors of Third Reich books are familiar with the Hoffmann Bildbände, the superb photo books published by Hitler's personal photographer Heinrich Hoffmann.

Offered for sale on this USMBOOKS web page is one of the rarest Hoffmann photo books called Parteitag der Freiheit or 'Party Day of Freedom', the Reichsparteitag that took place in Nürnberg from 10 - 16 September 1935.  It is a First Edition with its original dust jacket.

Parteitag der Freiheit has a Foreword by author and journalist Alfred-Ingemar Berndt, who was the Deputy of Reichspressechef der NSDAP, Otto Dietrich and in charge of the Press Department at the Nazi Propaganda Ministry.

The 80 photos in this superb Third Reich book show Adolf Hitler in the city of Nürnberg and at the Nazi Party Days Grounds amidst seas of swastika flags, with Nürnberg Mayor Willy Liebel, with Deputy Führer Rudolf Hess and Julius Streicher, with Konstantin Hierl and his RAD men, with Reichsjugendführer Baldur von Schirach and members of the Hitler Youth, Hitler with the Nazi Blood Flag and Jakob Grimminger, with Reichsführer-SS Heinrich Himmler and Luftwaffe hero and Blue Max recipient Reichsminister Hermann Göring, with NSKK Korpsführer Hühnlein and Reichsfrauenführerin Gertrud Scholtz-Klink, during speeches and troop reviews, etc., etc.

This book also has fantastic photos of Wehrmacht equipment during exercises and flyovers, NSKK men, the SS, the SA and Hitler's Leibstandarte marching through the inner city of Nürnberg, etc.

This 7-1/4 x 9-¾ inch, 64-page book is a First Edition and still has its original dust jacket which shows edge wear. The front flap of the dust jacket gives a synopsis of Heinrich Hoffmann's third Reichsparteitag photo book, and the back flap has advertising for other Hoffmann Bildbände, Hitler wie ihn keiner kennt, Jugend um Hitler and Hitler in seinen Bergen.

This rare 90 year old example of Parteitag der Freiheit is in very good used condition and has no odor.  It is NOT a modern reprint!
