ORIGINAL WEHRMACHT MESS KIT BESTECK OR EATING UTENSILS

This is a set of three Wehrmacht eating utensils - a large a fork, a knife and a can opener that nest together in a single unit when not in use. The spoon is  missing unfortunately.  The pieces appear to be made of good but no great quality, stainless steel and all the pieces are marked with a Nazi eagle and swastika. The fork and knife are marked C&CW43, and the can opener GK&F above 42.

The set weighs 140 grams (5 ounces) and is in very good, lightly used condition. Perfect for a re-enactor, a collector or even a museum as it is perfectly representative of what many Wehrmacht Officers and Landsers ate with in the field in the latter part of World War II. Obtained directly from the estate of a veteran, condition exactly as shown.

This is a nice tight slip-joint aluminum Wehrmacht type eating set that measures 6 inches collapsed and 9-5/8 inches set-up for use. The spoon is stamped on the back side of the handle WSuCL.

On the front side of the fork handle ahead of the pivot rivet is an arrow pointing to the rivet.
