Battle- and Defiance Songs of an Awakened Nation) is a very rare, nicely illustrated Third Reich songbook with the lyrics of 61 National Socialist songs (and the music for one). Songs include the Nazi ‘anthem’ the Horst-Wessel-Lied (Die Fahne hoch!), Volk ans Gewehr, Heil Hitler Dir!, Kampflied der SA, Deutschland erwache, Schlageterlied, SA marschiert, Hakenkreuzlied, Kampflied der Nationalsozialisten, Wenn Hitlerleut marschieren, In den Kampf um die Heimat, Die Wacht am Rhein, Hitlers Getreue, Deutschland, Deutschland über alles, Adolf Hitler - unserem Führer, and many more.

Many of the pages are illustrated with delicately drawn eagles and swastikas, Nazi flags, an SA insignia and even anti-Jewish caricatures of Russian revolutionary Radek-Sobelsohn and Jewish anarchist Eugene Levine-Nissen. This little book was at the top of the Soviet de-Nazification list at the end of World War II.

Published in 1933 by Standarten-Verlag of Leipzig, this 4-1/4 x 5-5/8 inch 48-page softcover Nazi publication is VERY rare especially because after World War II it was placed on the ‘verboten’ list by the Allies and most examples were destroyed.

Our 87 year old example of Heil Hitler Dir! is complete and in very nice, little-used condition. No odor.
