The publishing company Deutsche Kulturbilder Verlag produced photo sets called die deutsche Stadt im Bild (The German City in Pictures) for cities in Germany like Leipzig, Berlin, Potsdam, Munich, Hamburg, Dresden, Breslau and several others. Among the hardest to find is this one - the complete forty photo set for Nuremberg, the City of Nazi Party Days, carefully glued in the 6-¾ x 9-¾ inch, 12-page custom cardstock folder.

The first page is printed text covering the history of Nürnberg, from the Middle Ages through the Third Reich. The last paragraph mentions the honor bestowed upon the city by "our Führer" in becoming the host for the Nazi Party rallies or Parteitage, very important for the future of the city.

Each page has four 3-½ x 2-¼ inch pictures. Next to each picture is a caption printed in red ink, explaining the subject of the image. Many of the pictures show the medieval center of Nuremberg, the castle, churches, Adolf-Hitler-Square, the Albrecht Dürer house, beautiful architecture, fountains, bridges, etc.

The last page has pictures taken during the 1933 Reichsparteitag, showing the SA marching past the Führer, the Graf Zeppelin above the city, Hitler Youth boys and Hitler with Ernst Röhm on the Luitpoldhain at the Nazi Party Day Grounds (shown dirctly above).

The pictures did not come in the album. They had to be collected or were a premium from the Gebr. Schulmeyer coffee and tea importing company in Frankfurt am Main. Their name is printed on the back of the album.

We have seen these albums for other cities in Germany, and just the photo set for Nürnberg. However, we have never seen the complete set of forty pictures in the special album!

The cover show wear but the interior pages are in good used condition. No writing, no odor. Rare, 85+ years old and absolutely original to the Third Reich period in Germany.
