Fliegt mit! Erlebnis und Technik des Fliegens (Join the Flight! Experiences and Technology of Flying) was written by pilot Walter Ackermann. This Reichsausgabe was produced in cooperation with Wolfgang Merkel, who was a pilot for Deutsche Lufthansa.
The target audience for the book was German boys and the goal was to interest them in a career in aviation. The text is a basic “introduction” to flying, highlighting the job of a pilot in a commercial airplane, in a sail plane and in a war plane.

Photos show Third Reich airplane cockpits and engines, Luftwaffe General Ernst Udet, Commander of the Richthofen Squadron Hermann Goering returning from a flight during World War I, a Dornier Do 18 Flugboot and a Messerschmitt Taifun, the upgraded modern Tempelhof Airport in Berlin, research inside a Nazi wind tunnel, three Stukas during a training flight, sail planes and models, Junkers and Heinkel airplanes with swastika tail markings, and even the author of this book Walter Ackermann with an American Douglas airplane!
This 80+ year old Nazi aviation book Fliegt mit! is in very nice used condition and has no writing and no odor.
This Third Edition of Fliegt mit! was published by Verlag Knorr & Hirth in Munich in 1942. The book was first published in September 1938. Author Ackermann died in a plane crash in the summer of 1939, which was mentioned in the foreword of the Second Edition dated Spring 1941. This Third Edition is an unchanged version of the 1941 Second Edition.
